Because of this, it’s essential to floss your teeth at least once a day, preferably at night once you’re done eating for the day. Floss around your teeth using string floss or a flossing tool to remove food particles and plaque.

What you eat plays a significant role in your overall general health; it also plays an essential role in maintaining and improving your dental health. Eating an excessive amount of sugary and starchy foods can be dangerous for your teeth. When these foods come into contact with saliva, they turn into acid that can stick to your teeth and break down enamel.
While this doesn’t mean you can’t ever eat these types of foods, it does mean that you should be aware of what you’re eating and try to limit consumption of foods that are high in sugar or starch. If you eat these types of foods, brushing your teeth right after the meal can be an excellent way to remove acids and plaque from your teeth.
